“At New Horizon Childcare, we are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and joyful environment for every child” NHC team

About New Horizon Childcare

New Horizon Childcare is a residential childcare provider seeking registration with Ofsted to accommodate up to six children and young people aged 5 to 18, regardless of gender.

The Hall offers a safe, structured, and nurturing residential environment where children and young people are supported to feel secure, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

The home is designed to support children and young people with a range of identified needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Many of the children placed with us may have experienced trauma, neglect, disrupted attachments, or other adverse life experiences. We recognise the profound impact these experiences can have on emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and development, and we tailor our care accordingly.

Our skilled and committed staff team is central to the quality of care we provide. All staff are trained in trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches, ensuring that care extends beyond meeting day-to-day needs to actively promoting emotional safety, trust, resilience, and positive relationships.

We place strong emphasis on consistency, empathy, and reflective practice, enabling children and young people to make meaningful progress at their own pace.

New Horizon Childcare is equally committed to investing in its workforce. We provide comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and continuous professional development, working closely with specialist professionals to ensure our practice remains current, evidence-based, and child-centered. This supportive and aspirational working environment enables staff to develop their skills, feel valued in their roles, and deliver the highest standards of care.

Through this commitment to both children and staff, The Hall strives to meet the emotional, educational, and social needs of every young person, while maintaining a culture of safeguarding, professionalism, and continuous improvement in line with Ofsted’s expectations.
